Living the Cabana Life at Royal Pacific Resort

The day we arrive at the parks, we are always so tired from traveling. So on our most recent trip to Universal Orlando, I planned a pool day for our first day at Royal Pacific Resort. As a treat, I rented us a cabana so we could protect our skin from the Florida sun and feel fabulous for a little bit. We definitely felt fabulous and the pool area at Royal is gorgeous.

Since we were staying club level at Royal Pacific, we got the cabana at a discount. You can book for half a day (AM or PM) or for a full day. We chose an AM half day from opening until 3 pm. This was the perfect amount of time for us. We wanted to be there during the heat of the day; so it was nice to have a space to take a little snooze or grab lunch and get out of the sun.

After checking in at the pool, you’re escorted to your cabana. We were on the side with the little beach. There were two loungers with towels under an umbrella. Inside the cabana, there is a comfy wrap around couch with a TV, small refrigerator, table, and trash can. In the cabinet where the refrigerator is, there is a small safe for storing your belongings. There is also a ceiling fan, which is helpful to offset the Florida heat. My son took a nap on the couch, and we did have some TV on in the background.

You are assigned a server for the whole time to get you food or drinks from the bar. Our server was very kind and attentive! We ordered lunch and I got a fancy Mai Tai. The Mac & Cheese was just ok, but my son enjoyed his pizza and my grilled chicken Caesar salad was pretty good. Ten (10) complimentary non-alcoholic drinks are included with your rental. If you don’t finish all of the drinks, they’ll give you the remainder to take back to your room for your fridge. We took a few sodas and waters back with us. It was a great inclusion that saved us some cash on drinks.

Overall, we loved this experience! I would definitely recommend renting a cabana if you have a scheduled pool day. The cabanas were reasonably priced and even more so with the club level discount. It was so nice to have a dedicated pool day with a little spot to go cool off or relax and grab a bite to eat. I would absolutely do this again for our next trip!
