Pop Century Resort

Dana Munoz2.5.2020Throughout my life, I have been to Walt Disney World more times than I can count! I have stayed at several different accommodations, ranging from off property, to every different resort level that Walt Disney World offers. On my most recent trip, I stayed on property at the Pop Century Resort. I was very excited as this was one of the few resorts I had never stayed at, and it had been recently renovated.On this trip, I was with my husband and 2 best friends. It was our friends first time at Walt Disney World. When we arrived at Pop Century, we were really impressed by how clean the lobby was and how the food court was right off of the main lobby. This was really convenient, as we were starving at check in! We were also impressed to see the resort theming of the different decades so clearly in the lobby. It was exciting to find out that our room was in the 70’s section of the resort. Our room was right by a gigantic “Big Wheel” bike, and a humungous foosball arena! This brought us so much childhood nostalgia, and instantly set us up for a wonderful trip.Throughout our stay at Pop Century, we enjoyed the clean, renovated rooms, the food court, and the gift shop in the lobby. The room had one queen bed, and one queen sized table bed that pulled down from the wall. Because we were only staying for a few nights, we found the room to be just enough space for the time that we were there. From our room, we could also see the “Hippy Dippy Pool,” one of the 3 pools on property that is housed in the 60’s themed section. We did not have a chance on this trip to go swimming, but at any time of day we were at the resort, there were families enjoying it.My favorite thing about our stay at Pop Century is that we chose to book a preferred room. A preferred room means that we were staying in a building close to the main hall. At a value resort like Pop Century, there is only one bus stop. When you get back to the resort from a long day at the parks, it can be an exhausting walk back to the room if you are on the far side of property. By staying in a preferred room, we were able to get right back to our room at the end of the night and had a bit of extra time to get ready in the morning without having to build in walking time to get to the bus stop. It was also extremely convenient for going to the dining hall to fill our drink mugs. I would highly recommend Pop Century Resort for anyone going on a quick trip with friends or family!
