Special Disney Experiences - In And Out Of The Parks

October 22, 2015Anna TrosperYes it is true there is more to do at Walt Disney Word than ride the rides and eat! Disney has so many other wonderful experiences for all ages around the parks and the resorts, you could keep yourself and your family busy all week and not step foot on one ride. There are experiences that the whole family can enjoy together and those that are just for kids. You may want to surprise someone for their birthday or graduation or even plan that one special night. Romance to adventure to relaxation - there are so many to choose from. Here are just a few of the little extra Disney experiences you can enjoy on your next trip!Archery: Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds, (yes campgrounds, you can camp in a tent or RV at Disney World), guests age7 yrs. and up can be taught how to hold and fire a compound bow in class. After the class you will be taken off to go have target practice. This would be great for the Robin Hood in the family!Guided Fishing Excursion: You and up to 4 guests can book a private bass fishing excursion with a guide. Everything is supplied for you on the boat for your 2 to 4 hour outing. This is catch and release only! This is a great gift for that fisherman in the family.Water Sports: Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports center is located at the Disney Contemporary Resort. Here you can do activities like: tubing, water skiing and wake-boarding. If you like to fly high, try out the parasailing - this takes you up to heights of either 450 feet or 600 feet. I have done this and all I can say is WOW! The view of Walt Disney Would is stunning! There are also personal water craft that you can rent and play around on the lake. Just make sure you bring your sunscreen!WDW_2Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage: The kids love this one! This is located over at The Disney Contemporary Resort where your little pirate will be presented with party snacks like popcorn and ice cream. A variety of beverages will be provided, but don’t miss out on the pirate punch! Mom and Dad, get your camera ready - Captain Hook and Mr. Smee want to meet the new crew before they set sail! Once aboard, you will find the best Wishes Nighttime Spectacular Fireworks viewing spot ever. Your pirate guide will entertain you with sing-a-longs and trivia. After fireworks, you will set sail back to port and have a special surprise guest waiting for you!Tours: So you have been to Walt Disney Would many times and you think you have seen and done it all! Think again … Walt Disney World has dozens of tours offered in and out of the parks. I am sure you can find a tour that you will love. There are tours that explore the secrets locations you’ve always wondered about and get the inside scoop on some of your favorite attractions of the Magic Kingdom, cruise along Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and learn about the classic ere of Atlantic City. Go behind the art and architecture of Epcot’s World Show Case or Dolphins in Depth in Epcot’s Future World. At Disney’ Animal Kingdom Lodge you can do a night time Safari. There are so many more to choose from, I know there is one for you.Scuba Diving/Snorkeling – Love the ocean? Well, at Epcot, you have the unique opportunity to put on a wet suit and scuba dive. Epcot’s Dive Quest is a 3 hour program where if you are a certified scuba diver you can dive with over 6,000 sea creatures in the Living Seas aquarium. If you are not certified, Epcot’s Seas Aqua tour, lets you snorkel in the same Livings Seas water. Want to find out what scuba is like? At Shark Reef at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon you can rent a pony tank of air and regulator to breath with, put it on and off you go. You can’t dive down but you can stay in the cold 68* water as long as you have air. This is where my husband and I first got a taste of scuba diving. We are now certified and love to scuba.shark_reef_2Fireworks Dessert Party- I have to say, I have not had this privilege yet, but it’s now on my list for my next trip. This is at The Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. If you love Wishes Nighttime Spectacular and you love dessert, this is the one for you. There is no pushing or stepping on feet, no getting hit by a stroller. Here you have a set up on the terrace with great views of the fireworks. You also have an incredible variety of endless trays of treats like: tiramisu, tarts, pastries, cookies, ice cream, chocolate covered strawberries and cannolis. Please note, advanced reservations are a must!!!!Private Dining Experience – Now this is for that special night, the anniversary, honeymoon or popping the question. Romance is all over this one. At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, they have 2 private dining experiences to choose from. Let’s start with Victoria & Albert’s -  dine like royalty in the heart of the kitchen – at the Chef’s Table. Savor the finest dining and a tailored 10 course menu. This is a 3 hour experience. You will interact with the chef and his team as they prepare you meal. This is a recipient of the prestigious AAA Five Diamond award for 15 years. Victoria & Albert’s Dinner Queen Victoria Room – This is the most luxurious and intimate dining experience available at Victoria & Albert’s. The room is a private collection of only 4 tables, hidden behind frosted glass doors. The room is inspired by the Old World dining rooms of London and Paris. The restaurant is a 13 year recipient of the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award. You will not only be in an elegant setting, but will have your own personalized butler to serve you. Now, these dinner experiences are a bit pricey, but great for that once in a life time experience.I'm Trained, Traveled, Trusted Travel Agent with Wishes Family Travel, Specializing in DISNEY vacations and providing you with FREE concierge level service.
