The Boat House in Disney Springs

Anna TrosperSeptember 22, 2016imageIf you are looking for a great place to eat - or even just a spot to stop and have a drink and relax awhile - this is the spot! On our last trip we stopped in at the Boat House in Disney Springs. We just wanted to sit, have a drink and relax from a long day of shopping and all. Well, did we fine a gem!The Boat House is waterfront dining at its best. It is located just about smack dab in the middle of Disney Springs. Right on the water, the Boat House offers dining inside or out. Inside some of the tables are made out of speed boats. They also have an entertainer playing music. If you want to sit outside, they have great area on the outside deck with view of the lake. You can even watch the guests who take a ride in an AmphiCars.imageThere is also a Dockside bar out back where you can just sit, have a cold one and take in the view!imageInside you will also find the main bar – this is where we sat, wanting some cold AC for a while. When you walk into the Boat House, first thing you see is the shrimp and oyster bar. We sat right next to it. If you go, look and see if Kenyatta is working the Oyster bar. He is a great guy and knows his stuff about all the different type oysters they have. Yes, they have over 8 different types and he makes out-of-this-world sauces that they put on them.
We sat for a while, had a few cold ones and talked with some other guests. When it was time and we were getting up to leave here comes Kenyatta again, this time with an out-of-this-world dessert (again for free). It was a key lime pie in a mason jar. Disney magic at its best!!!So if you are in Disney Springs and just want to sit a while or want a great lunch or dinner, stop in at the Boat House. Say hello to Kenyatta and try out the oyster and shrimp bar. We will for sure go back every time we are in town now.If you would like more information about the Boat House or help planning your next trip to Disney I would be happy to help you.
