The Christmas Cookie Stroll
Maggie Ballantyne10.3.19One reason I love visiting Epcot is because no two visits are ever close to the same. There is almost always a festival going on with food, drinks, decorations, and entertainment. I have always loved the passport Epcot gives out at the International Food and Wine Festival for tracking how many different types of food and drinks you have tried. However, my favorite passport is the one handed out to all guests during the International Festival of the Holidays. Why? Because of the Christmas Cookie Stroll Challenge! This activity was introduced to Epcot in 2018 and is perfect for adults and children! In five of the countries around the world, there is a specialty Christmas cookie being baked and decorated for your enjoyment. Try all five, fill in the passport with a stamp from each booth, bring the completed passport page to the Holiday Sweets and Treats booth, and you will receive a bonus surprise!I was pleasantly surprised how affordable this activity was. The passport was free with entry to Epcot and the cookies were only $2 each… that is a Disney bargain! The 2018 Cookie Stroll included:
- Red and Green Chocolate Chip Cookie
- Peppermint Sugar Cookie
- Green and White Sugar Cookie
- Black and White Cookie
- Gold Chocolate Chip Cookie
My favorite cookies were the Peppermint Sugar Cookie and the Gold Chocolate Chip Cookie. Both were beautifully decorated and tasted delicious. Anyone who knows me well knows that cookies are one of my favorite desserts so this challenge was right up my alley.I recommend that when you order your cookie from a booth, you also ask for a cup of water. These cookies are a decent size and very sweet, so it is helpful to have something to help wash it down! If you are traveling with young children and you don’t want them to fill up on too many sweets (even though I say go for it!), the cookies are big enough for two kids to share. After all, they will be getting at least 5!I can’t wait to see what desserts they add to the 2019 Festival. The 2019 International Festival of the Holidays will run from November 29, 2019 through December 30, 2019.
