What is this enchanted place? It is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (BBB) and is available to guests ages three through twelve. There are actually two BBB locations on Disney property. One is in the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney Marketplace, and the other is inside Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom.What is so special about these magical makeovers is that they can be customized to fit your budget and your little girl’s “princess style”. She can opt for a glimpse of glam or the total “ready for the ball” ensemble. If you have a princess with a little edge, she can go for the diva or pop-star look.
The first step in princess transformation is choosing a hairstyle. BBB offers four different looks: Fairytale Princess, Disney Diva, Pop Princess, and Color Star.Next step is choosing a makeover package; BBB offers four at different price points. The Coach Package includes hairstyling, shimmering make-up with a face gem, a princess sash and tote ($54.95, plus tax). The Crown Package offers the same as the Coach but also includes polished nails ($59.95, plus tax). The Courtyard Package has all of the previous inclusions, plus adds some fancy attire. It includes a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique t-shirt and a trendy tutu ($94.95, plus tax). The final package and the one she has been waiting for, The Castle Package! This includes all of the previous elements, but instead of a t-shirt and tutu, she gets to personally select her own gown (or costume) plus her choice of accessories. My daughter selected the crown and wand. This package also comes with a photo-shoot that includes one 6”x 8” and four 4” x 6” photos in a princess-themed holder (Starting at $194.95, plus tax).
Wondering what to expect when you go? First, BBB is very busy and filled with Fairy Godmothers-in-Training transforming girls into princesses. Because it is so busy, reservations are almost a necessity and they begin taking them at 180 days.Once your princess-to-be has checked in, she will be shown the closet where she can select her gown. The Fairy Godmother-in-Training will then bring her a gown to put on in the royal dressing chamber. Next, gown and all, she will be whisked away to the princess beauty chair where she will be transformed into the princess of her dreams. This transformation can take some time, so allow at least thirty minutes to one hour depending on the package selected.A Memory Maker photographer is also on site to take pictures of every step of this magical journey, and is available to all guests. If the Castle Package was selected or the Imaging Package ($32.95, plus tax) was added, this photo-shoot takes place at Castle Couture (just across from Cinderella Castle and behind Prince Charming Regal Carousel) where a same day appointment is made. If they are not busy and your schedule allows, they may take you at the moment.
Some final, helpful information about Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Your princess gets to keep the make-up set, nail polish, comb, and stick-on-gem sheet so she can recreate her look other park days or at home. It is extra magical if she can pair this day with a meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, 1900 Park Fare or Be Our Guest. Extra special attractions to visit would be Enchanted Tales with Belle, Fairytale Garden or Princess Fairytale Hall. The reactions she will get from the Disney Princesses will be truly once-in-a-lifetime.Not to worry about the little man feeling left out!
