Breakaway Haven Suite

By: Sari PalmeriHaven living roomOur Norwegian Cruise was AMAZING! We stayed in a Haven Suite and there was a special area in the cruise terminal specifically for Haven guests. It had its own check-in desks and some light snacks, coffee, hot chocolate, water and juice to enjoy while we waited for embarkation. When the time came we were able to board first and they took us directly to meet the concierge and our room was ready. While in the Haven area they had some passings of snacks like sliders and punch. Our Haven Suite was an aft facing balcony featuring a king size bed, luxury bath with bathtub and separate shower, living area with double sofa bed, dining area and second bathroom with a stall shower. It slept up to 4 people and it was so beautiful! The balcony was HUGE and you could see multiple views because it was a corner location. It was definitely nice to have a separate sleeping room from my children and be able to close the door if they went to bed and we watched TV.The Haven Lounge was located on the complete opposite end of the ship and on a different floor from our Haven Suite, but that didn’t bother us because we didn’t use the Haven Lounge very often. We ate in their private dining room the first night and the food was really good, but it was a limited menu and with a 5 and 7 year old we needed some variety for them, especially because mine are very picky eaters. When we visited during our stay they had different snacks like different kinds of cookies one day and brownies another day. They also had gummy bears and peanut m&m’s. There were tables you could sit out near the pool along with lounge chairs. This area had its own towels that you could just take and not have to check out like around the main pohaven poolol. There was also a bar.The concierge and butler were a nice touch. Each day at our room there was a different “treat”. It ranged from fresh fruit each day to specialty chocolates to cookies. The espresso machine had different types of espresso and teas and was refilled whenever needed.Haven balcony1I can’t wait for our next Norwegian Cruise and I can’t imagine cruising in any room accept a Haven Suite!
