Review of Crystal Place at Disney World

Crystal Palace: Our Family Tradition

By Becky CriswellAugust 20, 2015There are hundreds of restaurants in Walt Disney World and when it is time to make your dining reservations, it can certainly be a touch choice! When my family sits down to plan out our dining reservations, there is one place that we cannot miss: Crystal Palace in The Magic Kingdom.Becky love Pooh Bear!It may be our fond memories that draw us back to this place year after year, but I believe it is a wonderful restaurant for any family. I have always been a big fan of Winnie the Pooh and friends. Who doesn’t love a giant cuddly bear, a loveable donkey, and an energetic bouncing tiger? At the Crystal Palace, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet make their rounds as you dine on the delicious buffet. Each one will visit your table during the course of your visit, pausing for photos and wonderful interaction. Now let’s talk about the food. I’ve been to my share of buffets in Disney World and I can tell you that the food at Crystal Palace is top of the line. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but here I will be focusing on lunch because that is where I have the most experience. To start, there is a wonderful cold bar with a variety of salads, and delicious bread and rolls. There are plenty of hot food items to choose from. To name a few, they usually have Mediterranean chicken, roasted chicken, salmon with yummy herb topping, tilapia, a meat carving station, creamy mashed potatoes, and lots of healthy veggies! Pooh’s Corner features kid’s favorites such as macaroni and cheese and pasta with meatballs. The kid in me loves their crunchy chicken tenders!Criswell family tradition: Crystal PalaceDon’t forget dessert! They always offer a variety of sweets, including warm apple cobbler, soft delicious cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, soft-serve ice cream (with sprinkles of course!) and more.I don’t want to forget to talk about the lovely atmosphere. The restaurant features a stunning atrium, stained glass windows, Winnie the Pooh topiaries, all contributing to the bright and cheery setting.I have never had a bad experience or bad service at the Crystal Palace. The staff have always been lovely. The characters have always taken their time at our table, and the food is better than “average buffet” quality. I hope you can take our family favorite, and make it one of yours!
