What All Goes into Planning a Magical Walt Disney World Vacation?

Anna TrosperJune 30, 2016So you want to go to Walt Disney World and you go to the web site and start looking. You get a little over whelmed to say the least. That is why it is best to use a travel agent that specializes in Disney vacations. There are so many different components to a Walt Disney vacation, and you sure don’t want to miss out on any one of them. You want your trip to be as magical as it can be. You have waited so long to go and now is the time. Here are a few of the components that make up a magical Disney Vacation! So using a Travel Agent can take the stress out of your vacation and just let you relax! When are you going? Sounds like an easy question, well not for a Walt Disney Vacation. So many great times of the year to go and different experiences. So much goes into picking the time of year. Walt Disney World also has something going on all year long!

  • Fall – Fall is a great time to visit, not very hot, can be less crowed if you plan it right. Disney also decorates the parks for fall and Halloween. There is the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, a special ticket event held several nights through out the end of September and through the month of October. Epcot has the International Food & Wine Festival in Sept through Nov. Another special ticket event is Night of Joy in September at Magic Kingdom. There is so much going on to choose from that it is great to have help form someone that knows and has been. To top it all off, it is still warm in Florida so you can still swim at the resort. Fall is a great time of year to visit!
  • Winter – Oh this is one of our families favorite time to go! We love seeing the parks all decked out for Christmas. At Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, its all the cookies you can eat and hot cocoa you can drink, and don’t forget they make it snow on Main Street USA! And the Castle, oh the Castle, all covered in lights. (truly breath taking!) There is also so much to see and do at Holidays Around the World at Epcot. Our family spends a day going around each of the resorts and admiring the Christmas decorations. The weather is great, still warm in the day so you can swim and cools down at night only needing a light jacket. The crowd level all depends again when you go. Holiday’s at the parks... well let’s just say are BUSY! Now if you are willing and able to take your kids out of school it is not so bad. We typically go the 2nd week in December and it is great!
  • Spring – Another great time to go – so much to do and see. In spring time it can rain a little more but us Disney fans just put on a poncho and keep on going! Epcot has the International Flower and Garden Festival going on March thru May. This is a must do at least one time. Again crowd levels all depend on when you go. Are you a baseball fan? Atlanta Braves Spring Training is in the spring time at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
  • Summer – Well do I have to tell you it is HOT! Our family loves it! That is what water is for- Summer time you have to take advantage of the Disney Water Parks! Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. We hit the parks when they open and go to the water parks in the heat of the day and then back to the park after the sun goes down. It’s Florida, so yes it is hot and very humid. Summer is very crowed, we tend to go the first 2 weeks in June, its early enough that the weather is still not as hot and crowd level not too bad yet. In the summer you don’t have to worry about taking the kids out of school. If you like the heat then summer is a great time to go! You just have to plan your day right to get the most out of it! It pays off to have seasoned agent help guide your plan to maximize your fun.
  • So we've got the when part, now what Walt Disney Resort to stay in?So you thought picking what time of year to go was hard! Well Walt Disney World has over 20 great resorts on property to choose from. Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villas or you can also camp. There is a wide selection of resorts with Disney Story Rooms, Family Suites, Rooms that sleep up to 5 or more, preferred rooms and standard rooms. Have I lost you yet? This is a very important part of your vacation, will you be spending a lot of time at your resort? Do you want to take the Monorail to the parks from your resort? Do you want sit down dining at your resort? Do you want to be close to the pool? Do you need a queen size bed or is a double ok?
